Another big success for Cloud Computing Workshop

The second edition of the Cloud Computing Workshop brings together students, teachers, industry specialists and technology enthusiasts in one last meeting for the 2023-2024 academic year.

The aim of the last workshop was to discover the latest trends in Cloud Computing and increase students' skills in the technological field.

In a continuous effort to bring the latest developments in technology and cloud computing to IT students and enthusiasts, the second edition of the Cloud Computing Workshop was successfully held. The event, organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of SPIRU HARET University on 27.11.2023, brought together an impressive number of participants interested in expanding their knowledge and exploring the latest trends in the cloud world.

The Cloud Computing Workshop was created to provide a learning and knowledge sharing platform for students, IT professionals, software developers, system engineers and anyone who wants to better understand the advantages and challenges of cloud technology.

The second edition of the event included engaging presentations, hands-on work sessions and discussions on various topics related to cloud computing.

Event attendees had the opportunity to participate in hands-on sessions where they were able to apply their theoretical knowledge and work on practical projects using popular cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, and LINODE. These sessions allowed students to gain hands-on experience in managing and deploying cloud infrastructure.

In addition to the learning sessions, the workshop provided excellent networking opportunities, allowing participants (domain experts and representatives of renowned companies) to connect with our students and faculty. These interactions were valuable for the exchange of ideas and future collaborations in the technology field. Some of the students also received job offers from important companies/institutions in Romania.

In conclusion, the second edition of the Cloud Computing Workshop was a great success with over 40 participants, bringing together students, enthusiasts and IT industry professionals to learn, discuss and innovate in the field of cloud computing. With the rapid evolution of technology, events like this are essential to stay up-to-date and competitive in the ever-changing technological world. We look forward to the third edition of this workshop, which promises to bring new insights and discoveries in the field of cloud computing.

Remarkable Success at the First Edition of the Cloud Computing Workshop Organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of Spiru Haret University

In an effort to promote knowledge and skills in the field of cloud technologies, the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of Spiru Haret University successfully organized the first edition of the Cloud Computing workshop. The event gathered an impressive number of 67 students from the 3rd and 1st years, as well as experts and representatives from renowned companies such as the Institute for Computing Technology, the National Research and Development Institute for the Physics of Lasers, Plasma and Radiation (INFLPR), Harman International, Bitdefender, Dapyx Solution, Tangoe, Cegeka, and Endava.

One of the important points of the workshop was the presentation of the status of the projects in the Cloud Computing Fundamentals discipline, carried out by the third year students. They presented their research results and the practical application of the knowledge acquired during the courses with great interest. The presentations highlighted not only their level of understanding of cloud computing concepts, but also their creative skills in implementing solutions in real projects.

Another essential aspect of the workshop was the friendly and interactive atmosphere created between the participants. Students had the opportunity to expand their network of contacts, share ideas and develop future collaborations. Lively questions and discussions highlighted the shared interest in innovation and progress in cloud computing.

The organizers received positive feedback from the participants, emphasizing the importance of such events for professional and personal development. Given the success of this first edition, plans are being made to organize similar events in the future, with an emphasis on diversifying the themes and involving an even greater number of companies and industry experts.

The first edition of the Cloud Computing workshop at Spiru Haret University was a great success, highlighting the commitment and enthusiasm of the students and providing a valuable platform for knowledge exchange between students, experts and industry professionals.
